ACQUISITION NOTICE №3 — Two New Volumes Enter the Collection
ACQUISITION NOTICE №3 — issued from the keeper's desk, One Hand Clapping Records Archive. For the first of the month; the desk apologizes for the postmark and blames no one it can name.
The tent kept its word.
ACCESSIONED 1 SEPTEMBER:
VOL. IX — LARGELY UNPLEASANT, concerning CL3O. The photo-negative's own account — the doctor's opposite number, walking off with the medicine. The register asked whether the title was self-assessment or diagnosis; the volume answered yes. Shelved opposite the Thrillho case file, at the exact distance a mirror keeps.
VOL. X — WORD PAELLA, concerning Stoned Flamingo. Everything in the pan, nothing explained — the kitchen doctrine, served family style. Filed under every heading at once; the catalog has stopped arguing.
THE RECORD PLAYER: The crate of 45s stands at three singles and stands pat, for the second month running. The player has stopped asking. The crate creaks meaningfully at the desk. The desk creaks back.
CREDENTIALS, AS EVER: Research Fellows and Patrons of the Archive will find both call slips already approved on their pillows. Reader's Cards admit you to the tent to see what waits. Any unlocked volume may be purchased outright at the desk — no credentials required.
NEXT ACCESSION: 1 October. Two volumes are already on the cart — one arrives with five girls and six testimonies, the other must be claimed by morning. The shelf said which. The shelf is very pleased with itself.
Enter through the flap. Mind the pillows.
