# ACQUISITION NOTICE №2 — Two New Volumes Enter the Collection

*ACQUISITION NOTICE №2 — issued from the keeper's desk, One Hand Clapping Records Archive. First of the month, as promised.*

The tent kept its word.

**ACCESSIONED 1 AUGUST:**

**VOL. VII — 5 WOMEN WHO LOVED ME AND ONE WHO I LOVED**, concerning Le Chat Noir. Six chapters of testimony from the dark — five who loved him, and the one name he still won't say in daylight. The register requested the sixth name for the record and was declined, politely, in French. Shelved in the dark row, where the lamp declines to reach.

**VOL. VIII — REMEMORY**, concerning SAJA. Her hands remember what she can't — the strings, the morning note, and the year the music kept. Shelved on the low shelf, within reach of hands that remember on their own. The catalog remembers so she doesn't have to.

**THE RECORD PLAYER:** The crate of 45s stands at three singles and stands pat. The player has been informed that a new record arrives when a new record arrives. It took this better than the ledger expected.

**CREDENTIALS, AS EVER:** Research Fellows and Patrons of the Archive will find both call slips already approved on their pillows. Reader's Cards admit you to the tent to see what waits. Any unlocked volume may be purchased outright at the desk — no credentials required.

**NEXT ACCESSION:** 1 September. Two volumes are already on the cart. The shelf says which; the shelf enjoys saying which.
